Beasley is such a happy girl, vibrant and full of life. She loves to play with stuffies, she loves to squeek and toss them and she loves to play tug of war with them. Then if she wants to play and the stuffies don't interest her she has been known to lay on her back and chase her tail. How does she do it? It's so funny to watch her manouver that long lanky body but she does!
When Beasley first came here she and the cat got along just fine but sometime after she discovered stuffies I think she began to have trouble with the difference between the two. She is not cat safe and probably not small dog safe as well. She does well with older children and loves for my 10 year old grandson to visit. I never have a problem crating her and sometimes at night when it is bed time she will come and get me to put her to bed. She walks beside me like she is supposed to when on the leash and loves to take walks. Sometimes the scents on the ground drive her crazy and she may put that nose to the ground and forget herself for a moment but she is easily brought into check. She is one loveable girl!

See the light around her head like a halo? That's because she is so sweet and like an angel. Now once I said she was practically perfect in every way, and while she is not perfect, she is well behaved and loves Sunny and Breeze! Especially Breeze! I don't know, there may be a little romance going on there but really, I think it's more like a good bonding friendship. They love to run, to race and patrol together. Breeze and Sunny don't even fuss when that helicopter tail gets them in the face sometimes. They just flench, scowel, and turn away!

Beasley and her foster sister take a much needed nap after working very hard! "What kind of work?" you ask. OH, you know, getting up in the morning. Taking a stroll in the pen, patroling the birds and rabits, waiting patiently for breakfast, then that ever important effort of eating every last bite from the food dish, you know, all the hard things of everyday greyhound life!

RETIRED AND LOVIN' IT

Whether kicked back on the doggie bed or lounging in the pool, life is good! Beasley continues to be a sweetie pie. She now loves all treats and stuffies! She sat back for a few days and watched Sunny and Breeze to learn how it's done and now joins in with the fun and games, or if they aren't interested she plays alone. She don't care. Sometimes she lays on her back and curls her body around and even chases her tail. Beasley is very well behaved and learns fast. She no longer counter serfs and knows what "leave it" means. She seldom ever has to be corrected but minds when she is corrected. She is such a love bug. She is quite attached to me, however, and wants to be where ever I am. At first she only wanted me but now goes to Jim and Chad for ear scratches and neck rubs so that is getting much better. Bed time is 9:00 and for the past few nights she has come to get me to put her to bed. She goes in the crate with no problem. During the day though she doesn't like to be crated. She will cry and moan and you'll think something is wrong, go check and she will be on her back, calm as can be just making noise!
Beasley is going to make some lucky family a wonderful addition to their world!

Beasley Rock's!

Beasley has been here one week today and her grade so far is PP - practically perfect in every way. She walked into our home last Tuesday and within forty five minutes picked out her favorite bed, lay down and roached! She is such a a smart, obedient girl and almost immediately adapted herself into our routine. She is sometimes my shadow and she loves to drop, roll and beg for belly rubs. Her manners have been just as they should be, no accidents what-so-ever. She does want to counter serf some but will 'leave it' when asked to do so. At first she didn't care for treats but has decided she does like some of them but doesn't mind turning her nose when offered one she don't like. She is beginning to show interest in stuffies but has not joined in the games with my two greys yet. It's just a matter of time, however.

Beasley showed no fear during the storm last night and is not afraid of the vacuum. She doesn't meet a stranger and only wants one thing - belly rubs 24 - 7! She is one sweet girl!

Beasley has been a very good girl and is fitting in nicely with the whole crew.
She will be going Monday to be spayed and may have a new foster home after that. The only problem that we are working on right now is sometimes she forgets that the counter is not for her to explore. She is not much for treats and toys but does love to be petted and loved on. She will roll over and let you pet her belly all day long. If I let her I think she would be in my lap all the time.
Mrs Beasley wants a home so badly that she had crawled up in a lady's lap at M&G and was hugging her. She is very loving and easy going. She will be at 100 Oaks on Saturday so come out and see her. She will be out of the limelight for a couple weeks after Monday so come see her tomorrow.

Mrs. Beasley as she is called, was the kennel favorite (Princess). She is very friendly and wants to be with people all the time. She can be busy but she just wants to know whats going on in the house. She has had no accidents in the house or crate. She has to have a little help getting to the crate but seems to do well once in. She sometimes crys a little but soon settles down. She has slept thru the night in the crate with no problem. She eats well and loves to go for walks. If you dont pay atten. to her, she will fall down at your feet (belly up) and paw your leg until you pay atten to her. She can be a little pushy for atten with the other dogs but we are working on that. She gets along with the other 4 greys in the house and was tested Cat safe & small dog safe. She is going to make a really nice Princess for someone. This one could become a DIVA without much work.
